SPC stands for statistical process control

Definition of SPC goes this way, Statistical process control (SPC) is a method of quality control which employs statistical methods to monitor and control a process, it can also be used as a method of determining and monitoring quality by observing the manufacturing process. The use of statistical process control in pharmaceutical industry has gained a major importance in the last years due to very good results that are provided and due to the ease interpretation of the results, even by the people who are not specialists in the field.

No organization can maintain a high standard without a performing quality control. The pharmaceutical industry is one of the most important industries, holding an essential role in human’s health in particular and in the welfare of the whole society in general.
